Unexpected!
Didn't have powerful lens with me. Never expected this. A yellow warbler! Next time I'll carry the powerful lens. It flit past in a second and was gone into the leaves.

Hawk antics
This area is a playground for the hawk kids. Sometimes the behavior is astonishing.
This is adult behavior, trying to break branches free for nest building. This has to be instinctive, because they never saw the parents doing this.

Total beauty
Concentration. Exploring. Looking for food. What gorgeous kids.
I'm not the best flight photographer. The challenge is fun.

By path and home
From previous day something was left uneaten. Squirrel. Think squirrel-jerky or crispy critter. It got eaten down.
Down the hatch.
More delicate dining.
Baby doing the feed-me-flap.
Big surprise, one cedar waxwing at the Oven.
Back here, lens inquisitive, one sweet pug, Lola. Canon can hire her to check out lenses.
Lens works.

More beautiful
There are pretty things to watch while strolling along on the way to visit the hawk kids.
Meal clues: someone has dined on pigeon.
And someone has eaten mourning doves after which the whole nest fell down. All the nests in the hawk space have had their their nestlings eaten.
It's the sweet faces that tug at my heart.
Fuzz Wuzz could use a little grooming.
