In between branches
The only out-in-the-open-not-flitting subject of this one hour stroll, the young downy woodpecker.
I heard the oriole before seeing her. A couple of I-see-yous and then back behind the leaves. Lots of bugs up there.
Canada warbler, flit-flit.
Endlessly fascinating hummers.
Time for a little preening.
