Just another afternoon in the big city. Warm, sunny, quiet, peaceful. Baby sparrows being fed. Gulls relaxing.....

Suddenly... WHAT'S THAT?? A sock? A garbage bag? No! It's a body. A very dead body. And a second body. And a third body.

Call CSI. Floaters in the river. Corpse on the shore line.

Anybody want to go swimming in the Hudson River????!

Robins in the garden

There are robins downstairs in various stages of development, adorable babies, noisy demanding fledglings, handsome adults, busy parents and "in-between" robins, not so gorgeous, -puberty, -but soon enough they'll be handsome adults ready to start the cycle again.

Following one's nose....

Today's project was to test a new lens. The best way to do that is to take a stroll, unstructured. That way you don't know what you'll see or what the conditions will be like. Follow one's nose.

Result: the lens is a keeper.
