A few others

The redstart put on a fine display.  It wasn't me. Bugs being tracked.

I can't ignore a strong autumn robin.
First song sparrow I've seen in a while. Busy seed munching behind the fence.
Upside down lunch, special talent.

The grosbeaks

I was watching for a hummer at the jewelweed patch when suddenly a grosbeak flew out and up to a nearby tree. I had only ever seen the grosbeak in the jewelweed. This was a total surprise, plucking something at the tree and munching on the berries. I've seen evening grosbeaks munching in trees but never before this bird. Astonishing.

Sweet cardinals

No matter where I walked I saw cardinals, molting females, strong males, youngsters, left, right, all over the place cardinals. Good for smiles and relaxation. The parents are wonderfully attentive.
