A different location

The Tuesday exploration was to the Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn.  These are impressions. I know there's much more to see in this fascinating place.  Mocker has marked out his turf.
There's something very funny about geese hiking around tombstones.
Hermit thrush came out under tombstone.   Bugs under there.
Bugs on tombstones for creeper.
There's a huge parakeet community on the entrance tower. More about monk parakeet community in next blog.
Eyeballing parakeets: one kestrel.
This was a very different kind of adventure,- quiet, few people, a presence of the dead.  Who's grave did a step on?   Fascinating place.  Took the R train, one hour ride from mid-Manhattan, not bad.

Must be spring

Kinglets!   Must be spring.
Palm warblers

Honk!

Honk! Honk! Honk! What a fluff-up.
They landed. At same time a wedding ceremony concluded at the Gazebo.  "I now pronounce you man and wife". And the geese started honking again. Everyone cracked up.  Goose approval?

Upside down lunch

I came around the corner just in time to watch this behavior. Pretty tree. Hungry squirrel.  I thought at first he was eating seeds. Not so. He ate the whole tree, every blossom.  Went out on skinny limbs and simply stripped the whole tree.

All gone. What's the next course??

Passover

Passover is over.
A-corny titmouse
This turtle has sadly "passed over"
