Wednesday quiet

It was a quiet afternoon...... robins, sparrows, hermit thrushes, loads of hermits.

Since it was overcast and quiet I decided to play with new camera body, multiple exposures for color and texture.

What????? Nest gathering in November?????

Down to the water. Now what?? Laundry??

No. Time for  a sip and bath. Is the feather going to be a towel?

Oh, oh,- competition. Territorial face off.  There isn't enough water for everyone??

There's room for everyone.

The sparrow can give sass right back. All that water and they have to spat. Astonishing. Feather got forgotten.

Fun kinglet

My eyes didn't see detail of tree until pictures were in computer. My eyes saw kinglet acting like a downy.  Of course, it was working the sapsucker drill holes.  Fun to watch. Hard to shoot.

Boom Boom!

Boom! Blam!   Cherry Hill. Poor birds. Scare the crap out of them. Every year, opening ceremony for the NY Marathon. Kaboom!  Show viewed from West 72nd street, using different camera, experiment, double exposures.  Thank God it rained in the morning or the falling cinders, and I did see cinders, would have ignited the dry leaves.

I like fireworks. OVER OPEN WATER !!!

And then the best, the male towhee. I didn't move. I was in the food space and towhee wanted that food enough to not be fearful.

Towhee ran off into the bushes. Private dining. End of beautiful sight.
