From the morning of the 2nd

On the ground, seed eating dove.... dried mulberry
Being sociable.
"Have you heard, we have to feed ourselves?"
Time out for preening.  More later from this morning's behavior.

The others

In the morning Mrs. Cardinal drops by to say hello
Adult doves hydrate
Eating seeds from dried mulberries
The kids are still up in the tree
Love this pigeon
Feathered legs. Not banded, but may have been privately owned and escaped. Fascinating bird.
No idea who built this nest, a bit big for a robin's nest, but the technique of securing a nest is sure robin. It's got everything but the kitchen sink up there. Nobody home.

Getting bigger

Papa is standing guard and will be the food source during the day.
Feeding time. Huge competition for food.
Back to peace and quiet after feeding. Kids are bulking up. Once they're on their own getting food is harder.

In the afternoon

Parent is looking for the kids. Out of nest presents location challenges.
One baby on ground. That's okay. Doves are walkers, but maybe not so safe for a "newbie".
I'm trying to find the other baby, turn around and see a mature pigeon head-butt the baby. Baby flew up onto a branch. Smart!
Calling for food. The babies squeak.
Second kid is way up in tree. Feeding time.
Down below baby still squeaking.  Food coming later.
