Getting "groceries"

No shopping carts for Papa Robins
Time for do-it-yourself lesson. Not easy.
Papa oversees the lesson.

Jumpers

At this point the kids are out of the nest two weeks. They're beginning to know how to find their own food. Finding bits is easy, but we have worms in the garden that jump. High jumpers. Think live spaghetti. This is the meal that fights back.
Finally got it down-the-hatch. I've always wondered how jumpers feel in tummy. Do they tickle?

Growing up

The babies don't all look the same or act the same, some in the trees, others on the ground. Nice opportunities for portraits.
Papa knows the worms are under plants.
Papa amassed a pile of worms and fed kid without running around.
Feeding is slower. There's a pause between courses.

Food for everyone

There are new fledglings from more than one nest, some staying in the trees, others testing their strengths on the ground. I suspect it's the food availability that has drawn them to this space.
Dining on mulberry is not easy.
