Outside world, continued

Finally the adults are in the kids' space. Is it feeding time?
Not feeding time. Preening time on the 2nd floor balcony.
Picking a bit. This is a good sign. They'll have to pick to be self-sufficient.
Oh good, maybe a family portrait will be possible.  Will they all look at camera?
Closest family portrait. They do what they want to do and don't understand, "Say cheese".
And away we go...... more to follow.

Continuing, out of nest

Parents preening on top of light post across road from nest site
Kids still in their comfort tree
Oh my, new nest being constructed in tree about 50 feet from fuse box nest site. They've nested here before.
Normal stretching. Not feeding time yet.
To be continued.

Out and about

There's a specific plan, instinctive. Kids are sitting in tree across the path from nest site. No constrictions. This is very different. Also no back wall for protection.
Parents are sitting on railing of 2nd floor balcony above nest site. It's not feeding time yet.
Lots of stretching with room to do it. Beautiful fledglings.
Parents preening on balcony, still not feeding time.
More pictures in this sequence will follow.

Others in the garden

The ruby kinglet stopped by to flit around
Yellow belly sapsucker drilling away, holy holy.
Two active robin nests. There are more.
Sparrows stealing twigs from dove nest for their own nest.
The doves building next nest. No rest for the weary.
And on the avenue sparrow nest in the CVS ("S") sign. Cozy, warm, protected.

More post-fledge fun

The babies are in their new comfort zone, one branch. Both parents arrived for feeding/ preening session. The kids have to learn to balance on a branch. No more secure small nest.
They spent the night in this tree across the path from nest site.
