One hawk sat and watched. Someone walked onto the lake and built a snowman. Meanwhile the goldfinches are getting their yellow feathers and they and the purple finch fly in for thistle seed. The bluejays can see a nut from blocks away, scream and grab. I threw nut kernels under a bench so the sparrows could dine safely. Alpha sparrow hogged all the food.___________________________________
