The redbelly woodpecker was right down near the ground digging into bark

It looked to me as if this bird found a worm in the bark.

And that's not a worm. That's its tongue !

But this IS a worm. (What else is new.)

Fruit goes nicely with protein. Too bad leaves were in way, but you get the idea.
