Alpha Baby in nearby tree.

There are so many pictures that it's hard to edit for a posting. I'll post the daily info, but pictures will be catch-up. I'm seeing other birds and they will have to wait.
Both babies have fledged. The first fledgling, Alpha Baby, is one gutsy kid, took off high over the highway and flew north, but each day returns to nest for a meal. The younger baby, Beta Baby was branching in the nest tree, but has now flown very strongly to several other trees in the nest vicinity. Meals are taken in the nest. Mom is Super Mom looking out for her kids' safety.
I haven't wanted to spend days down by the river, because it is emotionally draining, but I can't help it now. There are perils out of the nest. Anything can happen as they learn how to cope in the outside world. We can only hope for the best.
These images were shot on Friday.
