Berry moochers

Hmmm... it's fun watching activity at the berry trees. The bird looks for exactly the right berry. I think it has to do with the degree of ripeness.

Someone has nestlings.

Here's one kid in the tree but this kid didn't know how to shag berries.

Begging didn't work. Adult did the equivalent of smacking kid away.

Whoa! That's no robin. Never saw cedar waxwings before in Riverside Park.

A cluster of waxwings. What fun!

Not goiter. Down-the-hatch berry.
