While the nuthatch can survive by nibbling broken, shredded trees I'm not sure our visiting raptors can find comfort. Branches are being cut down, trees chopped with total disregard for who's resting in the trees. The Parks Department is doing a dreadful job of respecting nature, an irresponsible job.
Our resident hawks will move elsewhere. What a loss for us.
Sweet barred owl, resting,.. but perhaps not for long. Tree butchers chopping in its space.
