| I should have figured this was going to be a crazy day. Went to find hummers. Instead I came upon a feeding fest. Somebody left behind coffee cake. Every crumb got eaten, the small birds in front of me, the squirrel behind me. Maybe I should have delivered some coffee. |

| There was a rock walking around downstairs. Ran for the camera. I knew what it was, a hermit crab. A hermit crab???!! On West End Avenue??!! I have no idea how it got here, but there it was. Of course I had to pick it up to get an underside picture. And back on the sidewalk it just looked like another rock. When this critter outgrows the shell it's not going to be easy finding another house. |

| Go for the insects. I stood perfectly still doing my best imitation of a tree. Oriole had no concerns. Bug chomping good time. |

| The sparrows seem to never stop nesting behavior and I thought this nest had been abandoned. Somebody's home. And not interested in food offering. I can see it was a squashed worm or something in that family, but from my position it looked like a slice of pot roast. |
