The Gill, Laupot Bridge end. There is a rat infestation, multi-generational, the great grandparents, grandparents, parents, Uncles, Aunts, cousins, in-laws, kids, babies, bold faced stare-you-in-the-face rats living in logs, under longs, under rocks, in tree roots. They can climb trees, and rocks,... not attacking, but when a rat stares into your lanes and doesn't make a move to run that's trouble. Friendly rats. Who needs that?! They can't be poisoned, because then our beloved hawks will dine on poisoned rats and die. Down by path leading to the lake a young rat watching people. Tourist: "Oh look, how cute." Me: "That's not a squirrel. That's a rat." Tourist: "Adorable. If I had known I would have brought cupcakes". God forbid! | | |
