The cowbird

Oh no, cowbirds. This is a male. Thank goodness only two males, because a female will lay her egg in another bird's nest and that baby is always aggressive, will grab all the food leaving the true resident babies undernourished. The nest mother won't recognized that the hog is not her child. Cowbirds are pretty, but not welcome here.

The grackle was working the ground oblivious to me and huge lens. I hope a grackle family will show up.
