On high

I saw this parent obviously collecting food for nestings. Stopped to watch particularly to follow path to nest. Robin took diversionary steps before going "upstairs", 3rd floor level.  Neat! Three babies in nest, eyes not open yet. Huge mouths. Nest constructed using covid masks. Not the first time. Worms too big, dropped vertically, horizontally. Eventually it all got eaten.  Baby robins are bottomless pits.
 




Dead yellowbelly sapsucker. Probably collided with window.  Buried. Said Kaddish.
If a worm is dumb enough to cross the path at this time of the year it's not going to get to the other side alive.
