The afternoon of the 18th

Last fledgling still up in nest tree. It's a good climber and hopper, but hasn't tried flight yet.
 

Here comes  a meal, a BIG mulberry.

I know what's going to happen.... get that mulberry centered.

Down the hatch?

Down? Down?

I don't think so.

Berry makes  a return trip and falls to the ground.

Youngster doesn't know how to retrieve food. Clueless at this point. Sulk. One lost meal.

The sunlight changes later in the afternoon.  Fledgling comfortable staying in tree.

No flight this day.
