My mistake on Friday. I didn't see any bluebirds and assumed that since it was very cold they had finally left town. Not so. They're still here. While watching them yesterday the hermit thrush and the nuthatch came over to watch me. Nice drop-bys. One of the bluebirds walked right by my feet. I was wearing bluejeans and blue shoes (intentionally). God only knows what the bluebird perceived......... a giant bluebird with camera?
