From the 26th

I'm busy working on a different assignment, so will draw images from selections not previously posted. One condensed area- the Oven. The immature cardinals have learned to come beg for food bits. I've named this young male Patches.

While waiting for hummers I spotted this common yellow throat walking on a "runway".

These will be the final hummer images for this season. Jewelweeds now withered.

Here's the best surprise, not great, but captured. The chickadee was busy feeding on seeds while the hummer (blurred) was hunting nectar.

Upside down chickadee. Lots of them in town.
