Not just balloons

I like a good parade with balloons. Got to Broadway. Looked up. Pigeon swirl.  There's only one reason for every pigeon in the neighborhood to be up and swirling in a frenzy. HAWK.

The pigeons roost on the low rooftops. Easy pickings for a hawk, but not this day.

Into the park for an hour.  Fox sparrow on a food search.

Fun to watch, shuffle-shuffle, find a tidbit. It's a food dance.

By the path in a tree. Knock-knock, anyone home?

There was a great horned owl in the area facing off with a cooper's hawk, but I didn't see this. Beautiful day, lots of tourists in the park, parade over-spill.
