I watched both of these ducks at the Upper Lobe for about an hour. There were six other recognizable mallards and these two. The dark green headed duck is a weird mallard, never saw one before with a tan body. The female is a total puzzle duck. I've never seen a female looking like this, brown head and orange-tinted body. For both of them, bodies longer and sleeker than the other mallards.
Right time of year. They finally appeared, the beloved bluebirds.
Pretty at the lake.
There are treasured trees being hacked down by the Parks Department. I suspect it's overkill.
