| I knew that kestrels ate small mammals, mice, and had seen a kestrel grab a small sparrow, but I could not see what this kestrel had caught. Only when I got the pictures in the computer could I see that it had captured a large dragonfly. The kestrel is about the size of a robin, so a large insect is a good meal. It ate the whole thing as you can see. |
