Out back

It's quiet and foggy out back. Flicker probing ground for grub. Skittish, no way to get closer.
Doves in groups hugging the building, definitely a clan.. Standard dove behavior.

Except for one dove who decided to sit and stare at me.
Flocks of robins are flying from the north.  We're the pit stop on their long journey south. This is a strong juvenile making the long trip. The north robins have darker feathers than the robins who lived here all spring and summer.

Stink eye from strolling pigeon
Crab apples falling from tree, good treat for molting northern robin.

Fall feathers starling. They use their beaks like can openers. Food down there?

Sweet young sparrow taking a nap on wall.

Spunk.... eyeballing bird feeder.  Skittish and so pretty.
