I was told that this duckling was adopted by this pair of adults. The hatch-parents probably took off for parts unknown. The baby can feed itself algae and any food delivered by humans, but it needs adult duck guidance, a gentle prod or a warning quack. Sweet little thing. Light enough to walk on top of the algae.
Loop-de-loop. It dipped down for something edible and ended up doing a 1 1/2 turn. Gymnastic ducky. Surprised itself at that turn of events. (Pun intended.)
