Frozen Saturday

It was obvious from the start that the juvenile red tail hawk was elsewhere, because the sparrows and pigeons were out in the open and the squirrels were........ were up to something, -very young squirrels, -playing?, practicing at "social" skills needed for the future? I couldn't tell, but it was fun to watch. Eventually they disappeared down their hidey-hole.

Many smaller birds were quiet in the bushes. It's a way to keep warm,....

It's also a way to stay safe from getting the attention of the neighborhood terrorist, the see-all Cooper's hawk, who from his high perch can see potential dinner in many directions.

I didn't stay in the park too long. Lots of work to take care of, intense cold. Camera worked fine, but fingers were frozen.
