Much more than a sparrow

I came along while plucked feathers were floating down from above. Good clue. Somebody upstairs is dining. The cooper's hawk had grabbed something bigger than a sparrow, I think a white pigeon. If it wasn't a pigeon, then it could have been a very slow gull. At one point a squirrel scampered up the tree, but the hawk gave it the evil eye and that squirrel beat it out of there.

It was bright today, much better light than yesterday. I was interested in the details of today's meal, because yesterday I saw something very different. Those images are being saved for a future blog.
