There's a spot at the 69th street entrance to the park where every summer I see sulphur white butterflies doing their mating dance. It's usually done in the air, but sometimes the butterflies touch down on a leaf. Yesterday's mating involved three butterflies, one sitting on a leaf. This happened in one second. I'm not a bug expert, but I've never seen this before. The mating "tool"?? This is a PG blog, so I can't get off on puns. :-)
After that I went looking for forms in nature.
