You have to know the Harry Potter saga to understand this. In one spot of sun under the leaves sat the grackle, a wreck of a grackle. I've seen this before. It's possible that the grackle has mange, or has been in a battle. For sure this grackle is a mess. Ditto for Mad Eye Moody, a retired Auror, a fighter against Death Eaters, messed up in the battle against Evil. That's what went through my mind,- not poor old grackle, rather MAD EYE MOODY! So now you know I'm a Harry Potter fanatic.
