Still at the buds

I watched male and female orioles eat the buds. Catbird too. Then along came the blue jays, attack squad, thug goons. Lots of screaming and flapping. The robin stayed hunkered down under the leaves. Eventually the jays left and the diners resumed their bud-picking.
