The project for the day was to not look up knowing I might not see a warbler. It turned out to be a fine, colorful couple of hours.
A very young bluejay.
Tiger swallowtail, slightly the worse for wear.
Stunning monarch
Young catbird hidden in the leaves
First downy in a long time. Had it been observant it would have seen a delicacy to the left of its body.
A fairly still female redstart.
This turtle got out of the fenced area around lake, climbed rock, fell off rock onto its back. I picked it up (using gloves) and put it back on the water side of the fence. How it got through the fence is a puzzle.
A little softer and I'd stretch out here too.
