One of those days

One of those days, odd lot. Shopping bag Lady.... pigeon stuck to bag. I'm assuming it will work loose, because pigeon was flying around.
Uncooperative raccoon,  3 second viewing opportunity.
Ah!  Evidence. There's an owl upstairs.
Owl rump. Without Jean's help I never would have spotted this sleeper.  "See the branches?" Branches?!  "See the greenery?"  Greenery?!  "It's right in there, in the branches and greenery."   Look up, up, up, up.... fall over backwards. One of those days.

Pecking order

Peck, peck, peck..... sometimes at trees, often at suet mash.
Hover when necessary.

Small delight

Another Horvath rescue, the saw whet owl. In the wild it would not survive due to injuries. It's now an educational owl.  This is sad, but it has life, food, comfort, and is a fine teacher.  Tiny.

The peregrine

Peregrine falcon, a Horvath rescue bird, now an educational bird. This honey sure knows how to pose. I know it would be wonderful if falcon could fly free, but falcon would not survive.

More hawk antics

Westside red tails. They fly in and dry leaves fall like snowflakes. Wonderful displays.

Color coordinated

It's all browns and greys at this time of year, so when this orange blasted my eyes it came as a total surprise, male oriole arriving for lunch.  it's very funny seeing color coordination for a meal.
Happy oriole. Happy photographer.
