The titmice

There are bits to eat where we can't see them, but the little bright-eyed titmice find the bits. Charmers.

Downstairs

We've got a nice flock of seed-hunting white throated sparrows.
The juncos are also working the lawn.
Multiples in camera, fun time
Hermits still hanging around.
I watched starlings eating sliced turkey on Broadway, but didn't have camera in hand, alas.

Hermy and the robins

Still in town, a few hermit thrush
Hooray for berries
We've got a flock of robins in our garden, probably from up north now heading south and a huge congregation of white throated sparrows. They'll be here for the winter. The yellow bellied sapsucker is enjoying our trees as usual. On Monday while I was work at work a neighbor found an injured bird on the sidewalk, a woodcock!  Bad eye. She knew what to do, got a box and took bird to Wildbird rescue place. They reported that they have several woodcocks, window crash damage. They hope they can save our injured woodcock. Damaged eyes are bad because woodcocks have to see backwards.

Strolling

Resident mocker very aware that I'm watching. No "talking" at this time.
Lots of hermit thrushes.
Redbelly woodpecker.... will be around all winter.
Didn't expect to see this female finch.
The usual berry lunch
What would the park be without a rat.
Nature's fuzz beauty
