There's food out there

The sunflower has been worked on from the center out
There's also grub in the building spacers
Chickadees happily in garden. Have food, will stay.
Bye bye chicky
Through the lobby window, starling working on berry

The expected

Out into the garden. Very quiet. Pigeon courtship.  I knew exactly what would follow.
It's not nesting season, so I don't know what this will lead to, but I'm glad they're contented.

Continuing from the 2nd

The chat moved into a different tree for berries, nice color combo.
Time for a little color coordination.
The non-berry gang.
And finally, overhead.. adult red tail hawk. Point and shoot and pray for focus without falling over backwards.

Time for a chat

Illusive, fairly rare, the gorgeous chat. I last saw a chat in 2010 and that was for two seconds in low light. This was wonderful, one chat having lunch and posing willingly. Perfect light. Poke berries for starters. This was near Sparrow Rock, area fenced off but not impossible to access. Now it could be harder, Marathon Sunday restrictions in place.
The chat is smaller than a robin, a little larger than a fox sparrow.
To be continued. It takes a lot of patience waiting to see a chat.
