Lovey dovey

From our lobby, saw movement, looked down, a vision of loveliness, a young dove taking in the sunshine, interesting lighting in the leaves, dappled. The dove didn't know I was watching. Shot through window. Gentle and beautiful.
This is what had caught my eye, robin parent into nest, missed this till now. To be continued.

Behavior

If there's movement I have to check it out. Splish splash by edge of lake. Oh  boy, the fish are spawning, not guppies. Huge waves, turmoil visible from across the lake. I've seen this before. The first time I thought they were baracudas.
Back to the birds... sweet wren
Downy woodpecker on ground for a change.
Curious female towhee
Water thrush
Oh no, is that blue jay really going to crack a chestnut? Obviously it thinks so.

Migration time

Wonderful assorted colors in the warbler world. First the male black throated blue
The yellow rump
The parula.... looks painted
Not a warbler, the white-eyed vireo. I really wanted to see the white eyes.
The males redstart
The black and white warbler, sometimes with brown mixed in.
The common yellow throat, male
The blue headed vireo (also not a warbler)
The brilliant yellow warbler
