Bird Book PR talk

Last night we gave a bird book PR talk at the Wild Bird Fund of New York. Good audience of informed bird people and one surprise.  Domestic muscovy.  My friend Steve Sherman said he's heard of papering a house, but feathering a house?, that's a first.  I would love to talk to a full house of ducks. This is Sienna.

Assorted bits

Had nuts. Attracted small birds.  Polite chickadee.
Gorgeous male cardinal
Patient blue jay
Very well nourished female mallard
Doing what comes naturally- nibble, nibble.
When there's a pause in my posting it means I'm very busy doing opera work with no time to go out with birding lens.

Hanging around

This fat robin is hanging out downstairs with the resident sparrows.
Yummy concoction at the feeders, downy attractive.
Bufflehead, more underwater than above the surface.
Gorgeous white throated sparrow. Next time I'll bring some seeds.

Watching

Sometimes a person has to have fun. Bird watching. Watching? Absolutely.
