Regulars in the garden

All grown up?   Not quiet, but getting there. Very few robins in the garden.
Young and independent, the house sparrows female and male
Lots of talking by the female cardinal, lots of moving around.
And of course our silent flamingo.

Yummies continued

Some hatch-outs are massive, more bugs than birds
The birds see the bugs faster than I can see them. You have to watch bird behavior to know what's happening.
The  grackles and redwing blackbirds share the feast with sparrows.

Breakfast

Back into the files .... Fun subject, termites for breakfast often hidden in a wooded area. It happens very fast, hatch-out, gorge and within ten minutes all the termites are either eaten or off into space. In this case, the catbird, the robin and the scarlet tanager. Sometimes there's a superb hatch-out but no birds.

Pigeon spikes

Across the avenue. Pigeon spikes taped down. No nesting, but fine for mating.
This dove knows me, always watches the lens.
I will be taking a break on and off while only the regulars are here. Working on a different project.
