Humidity assortment

The bee corner, two hives in this tree, east side and bottom.
Grab a snack if you can.
Out of the water?  There's got to be a reason....
The nest!
A bit of variety.... warbling vireo
Hot weather beauty.

Time to go home and watch the Olympics. Too steamy outside. Glasses fogging up. Miserable.

Pretty in yellow

These sweet yellow marvels were looking for bugs.  I could tell them where the bugs were. Chewing me up.  They like my bug repellent!
The yellow warbler, 2nd day in a row, and a first in a very long time, the immature oriole.

Thursday surprise

Steamy Thursday. Yucko!
What's on the path just ahead???? Oh, joy, - female redstart catching bugs.  All of a sudden the heat and humidity don't matter.
Sweet young bluejay
It is caught a worm?????
Mottled very young cardinal.  I do love this patchwork kid.
Right, it's hot.
Being watched by young grackle
The best. Yellow warbler at Strawberry Field.  (I saw it again today.)
Young sparrow jumping Papa for food.
And finally more female redstart. There were about three in this space. No males.

Migration!

It's a matter of being in the right place at the right time.  I had no idea what to expect today. Baby robins would have been fine.  Hot, humid...  fast stop at Strawberry Field, near the
not-yet jewelweed patch. A flash of yellow, time for two images, a yellow warbler.  To the left in the tall dense tree at least three female redstarts going after bugs.
I did see a water thrush in our garden at West End Avenue, but wasn't fast enough with the camera.

Kindergarten Corner

It's the sound that attracts the lens. Baby sounds.  Very young catbird. Never saw the adult.
This sound was a symphony, adult Papa cardinal with his three peeping kids.  There were berries falling. I've seen one-baby families, occasionally two babies, but never before three kids.
Across the fence screaming baby grackle.
This is always good for a laugh, young starling in Mama's "plate".  Would you like a kid in your dish while you're trying to eat?!
This happened very fast.  Papa sparrow caught a moth.  It got flown to the nest.
