These are from the 2nd. Judging from body behavior I suspect there are babies in the cardinal nest.
Robin youngsters really maturing.
Mulberries are falling, necessary seeds for dove diet. Easy pickings.
Meanwhile up in the nest the babies are growing like weeds.
To be continued.

More dove babies
These are from the 31st. When I see green babies I've got to document it. The kids are fine, healthy, doing what they should be doing. Green kids. Parents beak tip is also green. Eating spinach? Pesto?
There's activity at the cardinal nest. I suspect somebody has hatched.
Young robin trying to figure out how to find food.
This is all going on in one small space.... look up, look west, look north, look straight ahead. No climbing necessary.

If this doesn't beat all
Finally, from under Mama dove two nestlings have appeared. I figured somebody had to be living "downstairs", because the parent had been resting high in this deep nest, but nothing could have prepared me for GREEN babies. Not a trick of light. They're green. How? Why? What? Genetic? I have no idea, but if this doesn't beat all. Ecologically modern babies? I'll keep documenting them.

Glimpses
This juvenile robin looks like none other I've seen, very young, very beautiful, easily spotted, pun intended.
The dove nest is hard to decipher. Viewing blocked. Blinding sun in early morning. Leaves and twigs in way. It's a previously used robin nest built with assorted stuff. I suspect there's life under adult's body.
I'm getting the stink eye. No cooperation.
Who's getting fed a worm? Not standard baby food.
Focusing through a needle eye. No cooperation. Fighting sun flare.
Gorgeous baby again.
Different baby with Papa. Papa is the food source. This baby isn't going anywhere.
