The juveniles

This has to be about the messiest male robin I've ever seen.
The juveniles are reaching puberty. I missed the nests, but there had to have been a few, because there are a load of juveniles in the garden.
Here comes the food delivery.
Adult shape, but still a child

Starlings also collecting food for kids.
This kid can pick on its own sometimes.

Surviving in the heat

Time to groom a little
A helicopter passed overhead
If not fast these could become hawk lunch
Very young robin picked the best spot for staying comfortable

Early morning exploration

Studying everything is part of finding prey. I think there were bugs moving around in this space.
Time to pause. Note the talons.

More "play"

A bit of grooming
Upside down must mean something.
Belly up, but no aggression
All of this behavior is part of development. To be continued.
