This was going to be hummingbird day, but sometimes plans change. First sight, young hawk, new kill. Congratulations, caught a meal. But first check on mini-friend. Perching is good.
Back to hawk. Meal caught, but nothing happening.
Still nothing happening. Up on branch looking things over.
Slightly breezy. Having a bad feather moment.
Finally! Right, there's a meal.
Hawk dines and the world walks by.
Much better from north side of lawn.
There's a lot of meat in a squirrel. Time to learn squirrel anatomy.
Eat, stop and check for any dangers.
This no longer looks like a sweet young hawk. This is a serious raptor, no question about it.
