At about 3pm Jean e-mailed: Owl in the park! I grabbed the camera and ran. Work would just have to wait.
Owls know how to take cover. Sweet long-eared owl surrounded on all sides by leaves, branches, tree trunk. Visibility almost nil. Blue jays screaming angrily. I do love peek-a-boo birds. Non-light. Images shot at ISO 1000. No flash!
