THe wood thrush

I was on the path when I saw this wood thrush approach This is atypical behavior for a wood thrush. I stood still and tried not to breath. Why this approach? Why this willingness to be near a human?  Food!  That's the answer. It sensed and caught a worm and then stayed and watched me. In all the years I've watched birds this was the first intimate moment with a wood thrush.
