Waiting

Sun, warm air,... time to stroll and look for migrating birds. Gnats in the air, worms crawling, no migrating birds, but there was activity. I'm not sure what the sparrows were up to, perhaps nest preparation in this knot-hole. They were definitely a pair, one standing guard while one worked.

The feral cat survived the frigid weather and snow. I saw it taking the sun down in the Upper Lobe, definitely alive, ears twitching, breathing visible. Neighboring squirrel calling alarm at it the whole time.

Food, no takers.

Chickadees don't eat worms.

The sun felt good.
