Sunday

The flicker knew I was watching. I tried not to breathe.  Very alert flicker, aware of danger from above from  a predator.
That's the target for any hawk to see.
Flitting phoebe. Try to catch the fly-out.
First kinglet of season, very hard to photograph (as usual).
Mourning cloak butterfly.
Gorgeous male brownheaded cowbird.
Total surprise, looking down at the Louisiana waterthrush at three Bridges.
Fox sparrow resting for a moment.
There are five black crowned night herons in the area of the Point and trees across the way.
Amazing.... a posting with no worming robins.  Next post.
