Away from the garden

There has to be a nest nearby, because this is food-for-family behavior.
Mama's not feeding kids. She's having her daily bath.   Might be a different female.
On to second brood. Time to build a new house.
The red-belly woodpecker flew into my vision. I couldn't get into a better position to observe what was going on.   Rat-tat-tat into tree crevice.
What had this Red's attention?  A chestnut in the husk. That's awfully hard to drill open.
It finally flew off with chestnut, so I don't know if it was ever drilled open.
