Always a surprise or two

The day has to begin at the cotoneaster patch.

High above the Wooden bridge there was oriole activity.

This was a surprise. always happy to share mud spot with a white crowned sparrow, a first for me. Mud is good.

Back to cotoneaster for the arrival of a first year female magnolia.

            And then in popped a female tanager to join the gang.  What a delight, and surprise.
