Bug sucker

Beats me,-   but the opinion of the "experts" was that this is a chuck-will's- widow.  I can't attest to anything other than I see this family of bird always in May.  This time seeing markings was hard other than the bird seemed reddish, but that could have been the lighting. Bird very high in tree. Back lit. Just plain difficult. I tried to get the field markings. The best I can say with certainty is that after dark this bird will fly off and suck in bugs like a vacuum cleaner.
This was from May 2008, out on the Point, chuck-will's-widow.
And earlier, 2006, from Wagner Cove, definitely a night jar, much less red.
