There's still a lot of meat in this squirrel, but the young hawk only eats till it's had sufficient.
Now it's time to hide this squirrel. It's still got another meal in it.
Squirrel got dragged all around this space. Hawk hasn't figured out yet that it would be better to stash it on a tree branch. I was standing near a big tree, stepped behind it with lens poking around side to follow what was going on.
Hawk abandoned squirrel on ground and flew to a different spot to preen and digest. Either hawk will make a second meal out of this later on or a sibling will fly in and dine. Siblings were probably in a different space or they would have been on this carcas immediately.
